Experienced Registered Nurse, In-Patient Recovery Center – Detox and Rehab (Full Time Nights)
About The Position
St. Luke's is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for their In-Patient Recovery Center, specifically within the Detox and Rehab unit. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, compassionate patient-centered care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The Recovery Center offers a safe, structured environment utilizing evidence-based addiction medicine and mental health treatment to instill hope, inspire change, and build a strong foundation for sustained recovery. Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Designated department safety training within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous psychiatric, substance use or rehab, medical, and/or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- ANCC certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in patient assessment, treatment range, understanding of growth and development, and age-appropriate communication.
- Initiates and maintains multi-disciplinary treatment plans, ensuring regular review and revision.
- Assesses patient/family learning needs and provides/documents interventions using various therapeutic modalities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of psychopharmacology.
- Acts as a member of the Control Team.
- Directly supervises and is accountable for the care provided by Behavioral Health Technicians and other ancillary staff.
- Stays current with professional literature and trends in mental health and substance use disorders.
- Maintains confidentiality of all materials and ensures proper release of information.
- Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
- Provides individual assistance to clients experiencing medical or mental health symptoms, in addition to dependence.
- Contributes knowledge of clinical and programmatic needs of clients.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence Standards of Performance in all interactions.
