About The Position

Middle Park Health is seeking Emergency Department Registered Nurses for night shifts in Granby, CO. This Critical Access Hospital provides services throughout Grand County, CO. The Granby area is an outdoor recreation paradise, offering activities like skiing, snowboarding, white water river rafting, mountain biking, boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. It is home to Winter Park Ski Area and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED Equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a professional Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or Compact State Licensure (For Compact Licensure- Full, Part Time, and PRN Staff must have Colorado RN License within 6 months of hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers
• Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire
• 1 Year of Emergency Nursing Required
• Annual skills review / competencies as required by the department

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 1 year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the Emergency Department, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long Term Care settings.
• Utilizing accepted standards and protocols of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or equivalent), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
• Achieving patient outcomes through the implementation of clinical pathways.
• Being available for on-call duty.
