About The Position

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Irving is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This role involves direct patient care and documentation for patients presenting with a variety of complaints. Staff will rotate to different areas within the ED, including higher acuity main sections and lower acuity Express Care/fast track areas, based on experience and training. The department is currently seeking Level III Trauma designation and is a Primary Stroke Center and Primary Chest Pain Center. The role offers self-scheduling with voluntary on-call, and the department has a strong EMS partnership and on-site radiology with CT and Sono.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• RN – Registered Nurse with min of 1 year ED Experience
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
• ENPC and TNCC

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and documentation of patients presenting to the ED with a variety of complaints.
• Triage patients.
• Provide care in main ED sections with higher acuity.
• Provide care in Express Care/fast track areas for lower acuity/clinic type patients.
• Rotate to various areas within the ED based on experience and training.
