About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Full Time Night Shift Weekends only in Suffolk, VA. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. New graduates are welcome and should inquire about the New Grad Sign-on Bonus, Nurse Residency Program, Education Assistance (BSN Degree), and Loan Repayment. The Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a 21-bed unit that sees a variety of patients, offering a collaborative and supportive environment ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses. The unit is supported by a strong leadership team and preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. Unit coordinators are on staff to ensure smooth operations and quality patient care. Sentara Obici Hospital is a certified stroke center and a designated Magnet hospital, recognized for excellence in patient care.
Requirements
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of acute care experience
- Previous healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process.
- Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation.
- Adhere to standards of professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
