About The Position

This part-time Registered Nurse position is ideal for someone passionate about working with adolescents and looking to move away from a hectic hospital environment. The role involves working with a dynamic team of nurses, bringing an energetic and positive approach to caring for students in a residential treatment setting. Littleton Academy specializes in trauma-informed care for latency-aged students, providing 24-hour comprehensive services including an on-site school, clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Massachusetts RN license. New graduates welcome to apply!
• Must work a weekend day and participate with on call responsibilities.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Nice To Haves

• Residential program or mental health program experience preferred.
• Experience working with specialized adolescent populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educating and providing health care services to promote healthy choices that enhance students’ physical and mental well-being.
• Creating a safe and therapeutic community by providing oversight and attention around documenting and administering medications and completing assessments to ensure the best treatment for students.
• Helping students and families navigate their medical needs and providing valuable skills to ensure students are successful in their next steps.
• Providing physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for students.
