About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Rehabilitation department at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola. The position is PRN (as needed) and operates on a Day Shift schedule. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care among different disciplines, implementing and monitoring patient care plans based on physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Adult Acute Care and/or Adult Med Surg Trauma experience
Inpatient Adult Rehab experience

Responsibilities

Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, implement and monitor patient care plans.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
