Organization: Neuro ICU 20 Job Summary: Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. . Neuro ICU- We care for adult patients ranging in age from 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of neurological disorders, including acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subdural and epidural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis exacerbation, meningitis and encephalitis, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular intervention, and brain and spinal tumor resection. Our patients are unique because of their specialized neurological needs.
