About The Position

New Graduate RNs are eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus. Experienced RNs (2+ years acute care) are eligible for up to a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus. The pay range is $36.00–$49.16/hour, with gross pay of $432.00–$589.92 per 12-hour shift (before taxes and deductions; overtime paid in accordance with applicable law). This position is in the Medical Surgical Unit. Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
  • Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
