About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their In-Patient Center Team. This role is crucial for providing loving and compassionate care to patients and their families, fulfilling the organization's mission of 'Care, Hope, Support for All when Illness Threatens Life.' The organization has been serving North Texas for 41 years as the only non-profit community-based hospice, offering services in various settings including a 24-bed inpatient center. Hospice of Wichita Falls emphasizes an excellent working environment with teamwork, communication, and respect, seeking individuals with a passion for patient care and a desire to make a difference. The In-Patient Registered Nurse will serve patients in Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack Montague, and Young counties, ensuring patients and families feel welcomed and at home in the Center. Responsibilities include performing patient and family assessments upon admission and incorporating this data into the Comprehensive Plan of Care, updating it as needed.

• Ability to be at work as scheduled and alert/awake.
• Ability to advance in computer knowledge.
• Demonstrates competency as defined.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of the patient and family upon admission.
• Incorporate assessment data into the Comprehensive Plan of Care and update as needed.
• Oversee, educate, and direct other members of the team in a positive manner.
