About The Position

Empower Healing & Inspire Hope as a Registered Nurse in Addiction & Mental Health Care at the Recovery Village Kansas City. FT Night Positions Available, $3.00 Night Shift Differential. Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. We put behavioral health front and center, providing assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions and mental health concerns. The Recovery Village Kansas City (KCR) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. We offer a holistic treatment approach to addiction and treatment for co-occurring conditions. The Recovery Village Kansas City is a physician-led center, and our Recovery Advocates can help you reclaim your life. Our 80-bed treatment center in Kansas City is dedicated to providing all levels of care, including medical detox, residential treatment and outpatient programs. Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed to practice in the State of licensure (RN), active and in good standing require

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions.
  • Establishes trust and builds rapport with patients and their families.
  • Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility.
  • Completes appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program.
  • Maintains medical records.
  • Administers medications as indicated and monitors detoxification process.
  • Transcribes Physician orders and implements all Medical Protocols as ordered.
  • Confers with and assists medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
  • Provides documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
  • Assesses the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient, determines the urgency of their needs and expedites treatment.
  • Effectively communicates concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
  • Educates patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
  • Takes verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
  • Provides routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
