About The Position

Sycamore Springs is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide behavioral health patient care. The RN uses specialized plan-of-care interventions and supports patient wellbeing by performing assessments, identifying needs, initiating nursing interventions, and providing care appropriate to each patient's condition and age. The position also includes maintaining medical-record documentation, completing and revising each patient's Interdisciplinary Care Plan, and performing quality-improvement assessments. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and appropriate action in a stressful environment. This is a PRN position at Sycamore Springs, a 48-bed behavioral health hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in nursing.
Current Registered Nurse license as required by the regulations of the state in which the facility operates.
CPR certification within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact.
De-escalation certification within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision and take appropriate action in a stressful environment.
