About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides patient and family-centered nursing care in an environment that promotes best practices and customer service, fosters relationship-based care, and upholds professional nursing standards. This care adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics, the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Process, and regulatory agency standards. The RN also contributes to shared leadership within the unit. This role is applicable across various acute care departments including Medical Units, Surgery Units, Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Unit, Childbirth Center, Pediatric Unit, Operating Room, Hibbeln, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab.

Requirements

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
If a graduate from a nursing school that is not accredited, a minimum of five years of acute care nursing experience is required to be considered; or an advanced degree from an accredited school.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) required within five years from date of hire (MSN enrollment would be accepted in place of BSN for those enrolling in an accelerated program).
Area specific required education may be obtained upon hire and is to be maintained, e.g. ACLS, BLS, PALS, specialty certification, etc.
Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nurses’ Registration and Nursing Education as an active Registered Nurse.
