About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 16-bed Intensive Care Unit in College Station. The ICU cares for patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, as well as some trauma cases. Patient acuity and staffing ratios vary according to patient needs; typical ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3.

The RN provides specialized care to critically ill patients who require close monitoring, advanced clinical assessment, and complex interventions. The nurse uses critical thinking and clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient condition, prioritize care, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes. This is a night-shift role from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with self-scheduling.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program; specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• BLS certification, or obtain it within 30 days of starting in the role.
• All certifications must be from AHA.
