About The Position
Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their progressive care unit team. They are looking for positive nurses who enjoy working with a team, are passionate about helping others expand their skill sets, and are patient-centered. Saint Luke’s South is a Primary Stroke Center and STEMI receiving center, delivering high-quality health care to Johnson County, Kansas, and surrounding communities. It has been certified by The Joint Commission in orthopedic joint replacement for hip and knee, and its maternity program has earned the Kansas High 5 for Mom & Baby for care that supports breastfeeding best practices. This role is part of a Weekend Work Program, requiring every Saturday and Sunday, with the benefit of working 2 shifts and getting paid for 3.
Requirements
- 1 year applicable experience
- Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
- Associate Degree

Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process
- Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
- Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures
