About The Position

Coastal Women's Healthcare is seeking an OB/GYN nurse to provide care in an independent women's healthcare practice in Scarborough, Maine. The role supports patient care, patient flow, clinical procedures, and administrative coordination. The practice offers a predictable schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Valid RN nursing license in Maine or Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
• Completion of nursing or MA training from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Current appropriate immunizations as required to work in the field.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience in obstetrics or gynecology highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient consent, health history, vital signs, medication lists, and risk factors.
• Provide care according to guidelines, regulations, and patient needs, and manage patient flow.
• Administer treatments, medications, and vaccines.
• Consult with providers about patient concerns.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and condition management.
• Document assessments and data in medical records.
• Collaborate with teams to improve care and outcomes.
• Maintain exam rooms and track medication and supply expiration dates.
• Assist with obstetrical non-stress tests.
• Handle telephone triage calls.
• Manage new patient records and appointment scheduling.
• Assist with procedures as needed.
