Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and visitors
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions
• Solid knowledge of nursing best practices and medical procedures
• Understanding of state, federal, and local regulations for long-term care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for geriatric residents who require 24/7 support.
• Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Prepare and administer treatments and medications.
• Communicate changes in condition to physicians and family members.
• Perform skilled nursing services such as tube feedings, suctioning, catheterization, wound care, dressings, and irrigations.
• Continuously monitor critically ill residents.
• Act as a resident advocate and ensure care aligns with the care plan and personal wishes.
• Complete accurate, timely charting and documentation.
