About The Position
Registered Nurse (RN) – Camber Children's Mental Health Hospital, Wichita KS. This role involves providing direct care and support to children ages 6 to 18 in a safe, trauma-informed environment. Camber gives children and families hope. As an RN, you will play a key role in supporting children and families, collaborating with a team of professionals, and helping young people build resilience for a brighter future.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; certification as a Registered Nurse
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas; valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- experience working in behavioral health settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Take medication orders and supervise the dispensing of medications
- Chart and maintain accurate medical records
- Assess medical health concerns, including infection control, and ensure timely care
- Collaborate with the staff nutritionist to meet patients’ dietary needs
- Communicate with case managers or adults responsible for patients’ physical health
- Assist with injuries and accidents
- Consult with direct care staff to support patient well-being
