About The Position
Sentara Virginia Beach is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Telemetry Neuro/Stroke Unit, 2 East. This is a full-time night shift position (36 hours per week, 7 PM to 7 AM). The unit is a 21-bed Med/Surg Tele Neuro Stroke Unit focused on teamwork and providing exceptional patient care. It offers a prime learning environment and the opportunity to become a NIHSS (Stroke Certified Nurse). The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- ADN required
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
- BLS within 90 days of hire
