About The Position

Coordinates and delivers patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model. Coordinates patient teaching and discharge planning, and coordinates activities with ancillary departments. Maintains department and hospital standards.

Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions for patients on the unit. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Mississippi RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to recognize patients’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations, and planned procedures. Patient age groups include adolescents, young adults, middle-aged adults, and geriatric patients.
• Good judgment in delivering patient care.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in stressful situations.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, days off, and work area.
• May occasionally be required to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in general duty nursing is preferred but not required.
