About The Position

Deaconess Illinois Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical team. Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Red Cross BLS certification upon hire.

• One year of previous clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Coordinate and direct nursing care according to established clinical practices and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Advocate for patients while promoting safety, quality, and compassionate care.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate care, communicate results, and support patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.
