About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) - Level 1 Trauma Center. This is a full-time position with an evening shift from 11 am to 11 pm. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates. The Norfolk General Hospital's Emergency Department is a 53-bed unit within a Level 1 Trauma Facility, handling approximately 10% trauma-related cases. The ED has received the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses' Association for exceptional leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region's first Magnet Hospital, a 525-bed medical center, and a primary teaching facility. It houses the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center within a 126-mile region, four intensive care units, and two intensive care units in its 112-bed Nationally Ranked Heart Hospital.
