About The Position
UBMD Neurology’s Alzheimer Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting. This role assists individuals with neurological and cognitive conditions by delivering hands-on nursing care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting patients and families through education and clear communication. The RN plays a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while promoting high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
- Current New York State RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient support skills
Nice To Haves
- outpatient experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Triage patient concerns and support follow-up on testing, referrals, and care needs
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and neurological conditions
- Support high-risk patients through coordinated care and ongoing communication
- Perform clinical procedures including: IV insertion and removal, Venipuncture, Monitoring for adverse reactions, Medication documentation
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and ensure proper handling
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with patient flow and support efficient outpatient clinic operations
- Monitor medical supplies and ensure emergency equipment is functioning properly
