Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
- RN License
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider certification within 6 months of hire
- Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange.
Nice To Haves
- BSN Preferred
- One to two years of clinical nursing experience in oncology, strongly preferred
- Oncology Nurse Certified (OCN) preferred, or agreement to certify within one year of hire
Responsibilities
- Independently provide care to adult patients with a focus in medical and surgical oncologic specialties such as breast, GYN and neuroendocrine tumors.
- Provide evidence-based, high quality care, including patient assessment and treatment.
- Serve as a resource for other team members.
