Medical City Dallas is hiring a seasonal Registered Nurse to provide direct care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric ICU. The nurse will develop and maintain an individualized, family-centered, holistic plan of care; provide age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients; and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. The role also participates in PICU initiatives and process improvement and supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Seasonal nurses are PRN-status employees and must work at least 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. The program runs for 32 weeks. Nurses may be asked to float to another nearby facility with an emergent staffing need. The schedule requires four weekend shifts per four-week schedule period and two holiday shifts during the 32-week period. Shifts may vary with departmental needs, hours are not guaranteed, and seasonal staff are subject to first call-off. Seasonal staff are not eligible for extra-shift bonuses. Applicants must pass a clinical competency evaluation on their first opportunity. Current FT/PT and PRN employees, and current HWS employees, are not eligible for the 2026–27 seasonal program. The posting lists compensation of $60 per hour. Medical City Dallas is an 895-plus-bed tertiary care center with adult and pediatric hospitals, separate adult and pediatric emergency rooms, and advanced clinical facilities.
