About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a per diem (PRN) Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical nursing at a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) in Columbia, Missouri. Nurses select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations and the ability to choose shifts as far into the future as they are available. The position pays $50.68 per hour. Shifts include days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT and nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM CT; some 8-hour shifts are also available. Shift duration is typically 12 hours, with some 8-hour shifts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 5 years; Med/Surg, step-down, or LTACH experience is preferred.
- Active, unencumbered Missouri RN license or compact license.
- Active BLS certification; AHA only.
- Active ACLS certification.
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- MMR series or titer.
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
- Varicella series or titer.
Nice To Haves
- Med/Surg, step-down, or LTACH experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy.
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the provider and care team.
- Educate patients and families.
- Document care accurately in the EHR.
