About The Position
We are hiring for: Registered Nurse / Behavioral Health Facility / FT. This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the Neil Dobbins Center, a Facility-Based Crisis Center. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision. This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in a 16 bed, Facility-Based Crisis center setting. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.
Requirements
- Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
- Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
- Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
- Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
Nice To Haves
- For certain behavioral health services additional requirements may apply.
- Prefer one year of nursing experience.
- Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
- Some college training and/or management experience helpful
Responsibilities
- Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies
- Performing Nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed
- Monitoring individuals served and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications
- Completing QA activities as requested and participating in the QA process
- Providing nursing care to individuals served and monitoring for safety
- Ensuring license of other nursing staff is in good standing as appropriate
- Providing nursing evaluations and monitoring for safety
- All other duties as assigned
