About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s), the RN provides patient education and activities in accordance with their competencies and education. The role calls for strong communication and critical-thinking skills to support optimal patient outcomes. The organization serves underserved, vulnerable, and often overlooked patients in a mission-driven, people-first environment. It offers ongoing training and development for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, along with clinical resources for training, education, and point-of-care support.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
- Be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Reside in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary.
- Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Count controlled substances and carry out clinical and technical aspects of care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
- Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, or other staff as necessary.
- Provide patient education and activities in accordance with competencies and education.
