About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Telemetry Neuro/Stroke Unit, 2 East. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on Perm Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday). As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career in various specialties. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. The unit, 2 East Neuro, is a 21-bed med/surg/stroke unit known for its exceptional teamwork and family-oriented atmosphere. It offers a prime learning environment and the opportunity to become a NIHSS (Stroke Certified Nurse).

Requirements

• ADN required
• Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
• BLS within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• BSN or higher preferred
