About The Position
River Vista Behavioral Hospital provides professional, compassionate care for adults and seniors in need of behavioral health services in the Columbus, Oh area. We specialize in the treatment of symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, acute psychosis, and other mental health crises. Our team of highly trained doctors and clinicians work closely to develop and oversee individualized care plans, with the goal of building the self-reliance and confidence needed for individuals to integrate safely back into their communities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or hold relevant state licensure.
- RN License
- Must be 21 years or older
- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
Nice To Haves

- Psychiatric nurse experience a plus
- Outpatient nurse experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Assesses and plans patient care within set timeframes, documenting nursing findings according to policies.
- Supervises the shift team, delegating tasks and ensuring quality nursing care delivery.
- Monitors patients for changes in condition, follows medication administration policies, and maintains empathy and respect in interactions.
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and ensures accurate transcription and administration of physician orders.
- Communicates patient responses to the interdisciplinary team, orients patients/families to the program, and upholds patient rights.
- Monitors patients for changes in condition, follows detox protocol, and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
