About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides quality, patient-centered care while considering patients’ age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. The role requires competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process, integration of relationship-based care, and service as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

The position is in Courtyard East at Chelsea Hospital, a 41-bed unit caring for medical-surgical patients and people with chronic head pain. The unit specializes in surgical post-operative care, telemetry, stroke, chronic pain management, and patient education. The schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 72 hours per pay period, with every third weekend and holiday rotation required.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• New hires must have a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
• Work every third weekend and participate in holiday rotation.
