About The Position

Right at Home South Columbus Metro is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care management and nursing services to clients, including seniors and adults with disabilities, in their homes. The nurse observes and reports changes in clients’ conditions and performs nursing procedures within the scope of practice under a physician’s direction. The role also includes communicating with clients and others, supporting caregivers through coaching and training, and participating in required in-service education. Work is primarily in clients’ residences, with travel between clients as needed. Shifts and days vary according to client needs.

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• Two years of nursing experience; home health or hospice experience is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge, ability, skill, and judgment to perform nursing procedures within the scope of practice under a physician’s direction.
• Meet the requirements for employees providing direct client care.
• Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work, or access to adequate transportation.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed on the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide care management to clients and strive for excellent, client-focused care.
• Observe clients and report signs or symptoms that may indicate a change in condition.
• Perform nursing procedures under a physician’s direction and within the state Nurse Practice Act’s scope of practice.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with people at all levels.
• Coach and train new caregivers, serving as a role model.
• Participate in in-service education programs as required by state law.
• Travel between client locations as required.
