Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Conducting physical assessments
- Documentation
- Individual interventions
- Assisting the provider who visit our facility weekly
- Transcribing orders
- Maintaining clinical records
- Management of medication orders, refills and pharmaceutical communications including auditing medication errors and managing corrective action plans
- Management of immunization schedules and updating the state system
- Providing medical support to our facility employees
- Providing supportive care to the dental providers
- Providing educational in-services for the staff & educate youth daily
- Providing medication aide education, certification, submitting licensure and renewal of applications
- Providing support in the school system to accommodate any identified needs in a timely manner
- Linking communication needs with outside providers to maintain continuity of care with mental health needs and mental health providers, as well as case managers and direct care staff
