Requirements

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting physical assessments
  • Documentation
  • Individual interventions
  • Assisting the provider who visit our facility weekly
  • Transcribing orders
  • Maintaining clinical records
  • Management of medication orders, refills and pharmaceutical communications including auditing medication errors and managing corrective action plans
  • Management of immunization schedules and updating the state system
  • Providing medical support to our facility employees
  • Providing supportive care to the dental providers
  • Providing educational in-services for the staff & educate youth daily
  • Providing medication aide education, certification, submitting licensure and renewal of applications
  • Providing support in the school system to accommodate any identified needs in a timely manner
  • Linking communication needs with outside providers to maintain continuity of care with mental health needs and mental health providers, as well as case managers and direct care staff
