About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. The nurse demonstrates competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. The role's essential functions are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). The schedule is 19:00–07:30, with assigned holidays and an assigned weekend track. The position is 0.9 FTE. A bonus of up to $15,000 is offered. The employer notes there is no force mandating.

Requirements

Clinical competence and experience in caring for and managing patient populations specific to the area of employment.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, normally acquired through completing an accredited School of Nursing program qualifying the candidate for Registered Nurse licensure.
Non-BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed Registered Nurse experience must enroll in a BSN or higher nursing degree program after hire. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire; the degree must be completed within five years of enrollment, or six years for an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing program.
Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a multistate nursing license from a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
