About The Position

Backus Hospital, part of the Hartford HealthCare network, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Surgical A4 unit. This 31-bed inpatient unit specializes in pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing general surgery, orthopedics, bariatrics, GI procedures, Women's Health, and medical treatments. The unit is recognized as an Advanced Total Joint and Advanced Spine center of excellence. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes, fostering a synergistic nurse-patient relationship in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Requirements

Graduate of a school of Nursing.
One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
