About The Position

The organization is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures. This is a part-time day-shift position on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in geriatrics and knowledge of current nursing standards of practice.
• First Aid and CPR; these can be completed in-house.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with established facility policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and according to policy and procedures.
• Take telephone orders from physicians and transcribe them to the medication administration record, physician order sheet, resident chart, and treatment or care plans as appropriate.
• Maintain and order appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
• Conduct accurate physical assessments of residents, determine their needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Perform assessments on admission, transfer, and discharge.
