About The Position

Sentara Virginia Beach GH is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehabilitation Unit. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices. The Inpatient Rehab (IPR) unit is an 8-bed unit specializing in providing patients with additional rehabilitation needs for 2-3 weeks when they are not independent enough to go home but do not require a skilled nursing facility. We work closely with the physical therapy, occupational therapy, & speech therapy teams while providing care to these patients. The patient population includes but is not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, patients that required amputation or other orthopedic patients that require more therapy after being medically cleared from the hospital. The physician is engaged with the nursing team an easily accessible for all patient needs to enhance patient care & nursing workflow. The IPR team of nurses works closely together as well as with our 3 west ortho team.

Requirements

  • ADN required
  • VA or compact state RN license in good standing
  • Experienced RN preferred for flexi
