About The Position

As the RN, you’ll lead the care team, develop personalized care plans, assess residents’ needs, and perform essential nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatments, and patient transfers. As a Registered Nurse at Baptist Housing, you will provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. Your role is crucial in ensuring their health, safety, and well-being in a warm and welcoming environment. This role is for an evening line, 15:00pm - 23:00pm

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to a person-centered approach to care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and electronic health records.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care based on individualized resident needs.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

  • Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use electronic health records effectively.
