About The Position
Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is seeking inpatient Registered Nurses to join their team. Baystate Health emphasizes the importance of nursing professional practice and offers opportunities for growth and learning within its academic medical center and community hospitals. The medical intercare unit provides a supportive environment with advanced equipment for patient care. This 42-bed medical stepdown unit is equipped with bedside hemodynamic monitoring, telemetry, and continuous O2 monitoring. It frequently cares for patients requiring tracheostomy ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow O2. The unit is supported by a nurse educator, an evening clinical nurse coordinator, respiratory therapy, on-site APP/MD, and ancillary support staff. Baystate Health offers supportive, individualized, and tailored orientation. Baystate Medical Center is the region's only major referral care center and a Level 1 trauma and pediatric trauma center.
Requirements
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification.

Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on a medical stepdown unit.
