About The Position
UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Acute Care Float Pool. This position involves 24 hours per week, with day shifts. The role is non-exempt and has a hiring range of $37.51 - $81.95. The schedule includes working every third holiday and every fourth weekend, with shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm. This position is part of the MNA-University union. A signing bonus may be available. Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
- Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
- Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
- Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
