RN Observation Unit Weekend Nightshift
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with a schedule of nights (7pm-7am), specifically working every weekend and one weekday nightshift. The unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients expected to be hospitalized for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit care for a variety of patients including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterizations, post-laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. A provider is available on the unit from 7 AM to 5 PM daily to offer support and high-level care. New graduate RNs are welcome. This role offers premium pay for weekend shifts and is eligible for a sign-on bonus for experienced external applicants.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
