About The Position

The registered nurse provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care. This is an onsite position at Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Outpatient Surgery Center, located at 25-27 Washington Street. The schedule is 40 hours per week across four 10-hour shifts, with variable start times and a rotating shift. The listed pay range is $41.38–$100.00 per hour.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts RN license.
At least 2 years of nursing experience.
At least 2 years of operating room experience.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills.
Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting.
ACLS and BLS required.
CPR training required within the first 3 months of employment.
Evidence of continued education and professional development.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Completion of a peri-operative nursing program.
Orthopedic experience.
Certification or advanced training in a specialty area.
AORN certification.
