Registered Nurse, Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit, Multiple Shifts
About The Position
Sentara Health is currently hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. The CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) is a 12-bed high-level intermediate care unit that specializes in caring for cardiac and vascular patients before and after interventional procedures and surgeries such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary bypass surgery, carotid surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. CCU also cares for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients. We do bedside transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions, remove chest tubes and central lines, and so much more. Our team is a close-knit family of strong nurses and patient care technicians who deliver the best patient experience possible and have fun together in the process. Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State Registered Nursing License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) w/in 6 months of hire
- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
