About The Position

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the ICU. The nurse uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver direct patient care within their scope of practice. The role also includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching, and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal findings, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it as current.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it as current.
At least one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Critical Care Course.
Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Critical care experience.
