About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the 5 West Medical Surgical unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in stroke/AMS/TIA/Dialysis and a mixture of other med/surg disease processes. Exceptional customer service must be delivered to all patients and families. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 offered plus relocation assistance (if specified criteria is met).

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelors Degree - Nursing (Required)
• Registered Nurse (Required)
• Previous acute care experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
• The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
