About The Position
Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. The Inpatient Assessment Center (IAC) is the Emergency Department (E.D.).
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current RI nursing license.

- B.S.N preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
- Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
- Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
- Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
Benefits
- Sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. The first half is paid at 6 months and the second half will be paid at one year of employment.
