About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Greenville is seeking compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative behavioral health environment. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care while assuming a leadership role in the day-to-day coordination of nursing activities on the unit. This role supports safe, effective care delivery while upholding professional nursing standards and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Knowledge of Infection Control and Employee Health guidelines
  • Understanding of admission criteria and documentation requirements for new admissions

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN license
  • Serve as Charge Nurse as assigned, providing oversight and support to nursing and ancillary staff
  • Coordinate and supervise patient care activities during assigned shifts
  • Support unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager and communicate patient care concerns as needed
  • Perform timely and accurate patient assessments and address patient needs promptly
  • Complete all admission and daily nursing documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time
  • Ensure all charting is signed, dated, and compliant with facility protocols
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, including assigned chart monitoring
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding patient care
  • Adhere to Human Resources policies, including attendance and professional conduct standards
  • Follow Infection Control and Employee Health guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Partner with the Service Development Department to facilitate timely admissions
  • Maintain knowledge of admission criteria and ensure accurate documentation for new admissions
  • Actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, contributing to patient goals, interventions, and ongoing assessments
