About The Position

The Our House Residential Care Facility (RCF) is a 14-room facility with a team of expert clinicians who work with people living with HIV who are having difficulty managing independent living. By tailoring nursing, social services, and therapeutic everyday activities our clients and residents are able to define what ‘living well’ means to them. Our House of Portland a program apart of Cascade AIDS Project is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Registered Nurse. This position is responsible for performing the primary function of a Registered Nurse assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of Our House residents and providing direct care to the residents as well as environmental care of the facility. This is a Part-Time (0.8 FTE) role working at Our House in SE Portland. The schedule for this role is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 2:30pm-11:00pm. Starting pay is $45.95 an hour with night shift differential of $1.00. The Nurse's pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $49.80. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained. Who You Are Unencumbered nursing license in the state of Oregon Basic Life Support card Ability to pass DHS background check. CPR certified or the ability to become certified within 30 days. Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, EMAR) and working knowledge of the internet. Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues in a professional environment to best serve the needs of the residents. What You’ll Do Performs nursing procedures in accordance with licensure and skill level, utilizing principles of safety and infection control. Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients of all ages and diverse populations. Provides assistance with activities of daily living. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail Works in collaboration with resident’s primary care provider, clinical staff, and support system. Requirements

  • Unencumbered nursing license in the state of Oregon
  • Basic Life Support card
  • Ability to pass DHS background check.
