About The Position
Pleasant View Skilled Nursing Community in Ottawa is hiring PRN RNs for 12-hour shifts. As the RN on shift, you are the senior clinical decision-maker on the floor, responsible for leading care planning, delegating and overseeing LPNs and CNAs, and serving as charge nurse for your shift. Residents and their families are counting on your judgment when things change rapidly.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license

- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including monitoring health status and responding to changes in condition
- Complete resident assessments and lead individualized care planning
- Administer medications and treatments, and delegate and oversee tasks performed by LPNs and CNAs on your unit
- Communicate condition changes to the on-call provider and to residents' families
- Serve as charge nurse for your shift, coordinating care across the floor
