Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Proven experience in senior or long-term care nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and work PRN hours as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move residents as necessary.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to perform duties requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to senior residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
- Monitor residents’ health status, vital signs, and medication administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to residents’ needs and emergencies with professionalism and compassion
- Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed medical records
- Educate residents and their families about health conditions and care plans
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Remain available for scheduling as needed.
- Meet facility minimum shift requirements.
- Maintain active RN licensure and required certifications.
- Complete all mandatory in-services, annual competencies, health screenings, and TB testing by required deadlines.
- Maintain communication regarding availability and scheduling needs.
- Comply with all Stonewall Living Center policies and procedures.
