About The Position

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking for self- motivated, energetic Registered Nurses who possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to care for Kentucky Veterans using a holistic nursing approach. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint- supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment. This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $14.41 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

Requirements

• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and implementing care plans
• Evaluating care for the residents
• Guiding Nurse Aides in the care of residents
• Charting health information
• Participating in staff education and directly caring for our residents
